If i change my video card, do i need to reinstall my motherboard? ?

  1. It depends. Windows is smart enough to tell you suppose you need to reinstall the motherboard driver


  2. it depends on the graphics card slot, if you only have AGP there are still some nice cards around, if you have PCI-Express you have a large selection of the latest card, but if you have the cash PCI-Express is the way to go if you have an old motherboard

  3. Your motherboard should not need reinstalling at all.

    It should be a case of switching video cards in the AGP/PCI-E slot, and possibly installing the correct drivers for the new video card if you have switched manufacturer (eg. nVidia to ATI) or series (eg. nVidia 7series to 9series)
