If i create a Linux boot disc, can i put other files on as well so that the computer only reads the .iso file?

For example, load the disc with the .iso, but also put a few movies on as well. I want to know if it would just ignore the movies and straight up read the .iso.

Any help is appreciated, thanks :D

  1. I believe you can, but it's complicated and just not worth it. If you add anything to the .iso as it is, it will not be bootable anymore. There's programs that can allow you to do this but it's so much hassle and there's a big chance something will go wrong and it won't work right, you'll have burned a bunch of garbage on your disc.

  2. I have a few Linux boot flash drives that I also keep other files on.  If the iso is an image of a Windows disk (with a Linux boot), you can copy the files to it using Windows.  Look at the disk itself on a Windows computer - if you see files on it, you can copy other files to the iso before burning it.  (If the disk appears to be unformatted, you can't.)
