  1. I believe Godaddy comes with some webspace - around 25mb for you to host your webpages. However, these webspaces requires that you have a banner at the top of every page (uses frames to load so you cannot eliminate them). You will either have to buy real web hosting or you can use a free web host. Recommend you look into Microsoft Office Live Small Business - http://starturl.com/officelive . Since you have a domain name already, all you have to do is redirect it to Office Live (this is called redelegation, instruction is at the office live site).  Office Live has a free online web design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. You can upload your own website as well.

  2. Some domain registrars provide space for a very limited ad-supported web site with domain registrations. Normally to gain better control over your site and access to the file directories you will need to get a separate hosting account.  These can range widely in price depending on what resources you need.  And don’t necessarily need to be the same company you bought your domain registration from. Unless you happen to have a very popular website you can get by with the cheaper packages.  I use a host called Peachy Dandy for my personal site and paid like $5 a year and my uncle uses the same host for his business site and went with more bandwidth for a higher cost.

  3. If you buy a domain name that's all you have, just the name.

What you then need is a web hosting service.

Have a look at my site below, it may give you some ideas.

I would suggest a host like Hostgator.

Then pick a hosting package and transfer your domain name to them, they will tell you how.

Then you need to construct a website and FTP it to your webhost.
