  1. You can still use your home phone wires to get high-speed Internet, even when you no longer have phone service with the local telco.

It is referred to "naked DSL", or "dry loop DSL", either way it is just different terminology for the same thing.

It is just a matter of finding a DSL Internet service provider that will also provide dry loop, or naked DSL to your location.

Otherwise, most cable TV services also provide high-speed Internet service.  There is also "wireless" Internet service in many areas now days.  Satellite Internet is also another option.

Once you have highspeed Internet service, then you can hook up with any of many VoIP services for low-cost local and long distance phone calling.

  2. Cable, and Wireless either from a cell company like Verizon, or Clear-wire. I've heard of satellite Internet but haven't seen it.

  3. hi--im not really computer savvy, but b4 i had a land line phone, i went to a computer store who told me about "dry DSL" which allows you to be connectedd to the internet without having a home phone.it is still high speed and worked out very well for me.

    godiva

  4. Cable service (its great), or wireless service from a cellular company.

Dump Verizon, they're not worth it, and they don't care about you or any other customer....get rid of them and go cable or cellular, you can also get a digital phone service with the cable company...

    Dump VERIZON!!!!!!
