If i don't know how to swim, can i still take up dragon boat ?

I'm really interested in learning dragon boat. But the main thing is i don't know how to swim & i'm afraid it will be kinda difficult for me. ):

You don't have to be able to swim,

but it would more than help because if you do go in due to the unforeseen circumstances, most canoe sports are only one paddle away from a swim,

however buoyancy aids are brilliant and if you get confident with one you may forget you are afraid so all in all
