  1. They'll feed them the food they eat, only thrown up. It's best to handfeed them, though...otherwise you're going to have wild babies that are a terror to train once they're older!

  2. The parents feed the chicks what they eat, only like others have said, regurgitated. That's why breeding birds need to have a well balanced, varied diet. It ensures they're getting everything they need, and gives the babies a great healthy start in life.

Hand feeding is great for socialization and taming, but it's not for the inexperienced. If you've never done it before, please have someone who raises birds show you the proper way. There are too many little things that can go wrong that end in the death of a chick.

You can also just socialize with the birds after they are about 2 weeks old. Take them out for a few minutes here and there to play (longer as they get older...). If you're vigilant with it, you can still get tame babies, but not have to worry about hand feeding issues.

  3. The parents will chew up the food and spit it out for the cockatiels.  It's better to hand feed it though.  Hope I helped!

  4. I would highly suggest handfeeding them as they will become easier to tame. The parents will feed them though if you decide to not.

  5. Regurgitated bird food.
