  1. Legally yes but I doubt your house would get raided by the FBI lol

  2. Legally you have to own a copy of the game to play it (even on your PC.) Downloading the games is illegal if you don't already own that game on a disc.

I doubt you find a PS2 emulator worth using. Emulation requires roughly 4-6 times the power of the original machine to be even remotely playable. Usually it takes a lot more. Modern PC's have 4 times the processor speed and memory of the PS2, but still don't have all those resources available. Game consoles are very specialized - they are made to run games and that is it. Your PC is running windows, audio and video drivers, all of these things, all while trying to "pretend" it is a PS2. We are just at a point technologically where the PS2 and original XBox cannot be very well emulated. Even the gamecube and Nintendo 64 aren't fully supported yet, and they were much weaker than either the PS2 or the Xbox.

Good luck if you find one that works, but if you don't have a bleeding edge PC, I would pry just go out and buy a modded PS2 instead.

  3. you can download PS2 Roms and Play real copys with it. But the Only emulator that is out (PCSX2), still need to be worked on because it runs very slow, unless you have a very fast computer. here is a list of compatible games.
