If i download movies off the internet on a disc will it be in HD on my HD TV?

If the file was actually HD to begin with and you burned it with a Blu-Ray drive, then yes. It would be down converted to standard def. if you burned to a DVD though.

for file conversion, you can try using a converter if you may (try xilisoft).
