  1. You a idiot, there is a place in the graveyard for people like you ..........Jason    W

  2. Eh??!!

  3. I understand the question and it is only a matter of feet. Some years go someone measured the difference in length between the clockwise and anti-clockwise carriageways of the M25 and it was only 300 yards.

  4. A racing line isn't  the sortest one. It justtries to make the corners as gentle as possible.

Stick on the inside (on a motorway at legal speeds at least) of all the bends and you might save yourself a couple of seconds on each bend.

Other drivers might not consider it couteous though..

  5. Motorways are as a rule built as straight as possible any way so you wouldn't save that much

like some one said just stick to the speed limits and drive safe makes more sense in the long run

  6. that doesn't make sense

  7. I've thought about this a while, and I'm darned if I know. Wouldn't the left-handers and the right-handers cancel each other out?

No, that's not right. Get a map and a piece of string, and lay it out on the motorway on the map. Now pull it straight. That might give you an idea.

No, that's not right, either. I've got a headache, now........

  8. And how exactly do you propose to take "racing line" through all bends - you may just find that there are other motorists on the road, who will be somewhat p*ssed off by you swerving from lane to lane and carving them up.

Also, there are not many hairpins or chicanes on the M6 - and you would be lucky if you shortened your journey by more than a few hundred metres. What a daft question!
