  1. ew.

  2. No, it won't be too many tones.  It'll be fine... just be sure to not do it too many times too close together.  Just be sure not to do it a lot.  You can fry your hair that way, like I did.  It's hard to get it back to normal because you have to grow it back out completely and cut the dyed parts off.  It will be fine... just don't do it too often too soon.

  3. well idk all the way cuz im not a professional but from personal experience i died mine black a while back ago and then tried to die it lighter and my roots turned orange and the rest didnt change

  4. That is a job for a professional, black dye is one of the hardest colors to work with without doing major damage to your hair. A hair dresser can strip out the black then keep it well conditioned for several weeks before you try to lighten it. Or you can take the longer route and let it grow out naturally. Two toned hair seems to be the style for today, so the growing out process will not seem so awkward.

  5. I have gone from really dark brown to light blonde before and it was fine.  The salon said it wouldn't work so I bought a box of dye and did it myself.  I had to dye it a few weeks later to get it really light though.  Just don't over do it.
