  1. It is best to use it a little as you will establish credit this way.

All credit card / banks have various policies regarding fees.

You should be able to find a card that has NO annual fees.

  2. Read the contract you sign and all the fees will be listed. Most CC's charge a yearly fee, usually between 25 and 50 dollars. If you don't use the card for several months and want to cancel you will likely still have to pay that fee but no other charges... if you haven't used the card.

  3. It really depends! Try to get a debit/credit from you bank instead.

  4. Sometimes credit card companies will start charging an annual fee if a card is not used because it costs the company to maintain the accout.  Before getting a card, make sure there is no annual fee, then if one appears down the line, you can fight it.

  5. Your best bet is to spend a couple dollars on it each month and pay it, that will help them from not trying to charge you an annual fee of some kinds because you don't use the card. If you put 5.00 on it and pay that 5.00 off and keep it current, it helps your credit to!

  6. As long as the card has no annual fee you won't be charged anything until you use it. Make sure to check the details of the card before your apply for it.

    Good luck.
