  1. You can use it now. I turned off cable (budget reasons) and the tv had no reception so I hooked up an Insignia converter box to it and now there are14 channels (in digital)!! Also, works great for camping!


  2. Yes, you can use it now. Most major broadcast stations are broadcasting a digital signal already for HD tv users.
