  1. Well when you have a baby you will probbablly have to let it close

because your stomach including your belly button expands.

You will just have to get it re-pierced.

  2. Everyone's body is different.  Some people can keep it in their entire pregnancy, some have to take it out.  Some you can't tell how long they've had it and whether or not they've had kids, some people have their skin stretch out and it looks loose or saggy.

My sister got her bellybutton pierced when she was in her teens (I think 16, but it could've been 18) and she had a baby November of last year.  She took it out during the last few months of her pregnancy, then put it back in afterward.  The skin around her midsection is still sort of loose and one day the jewelry barely got tugged on and it came right through the hole, so now if she wants to wear a bellybutton ring she'll have to wear a larger gauge.

  3. It should not look bad if you take care of your body and your piercing.  For example, keep your stomach in shape.

When you get pregnant, you could put in a flexible bar or ring.  If you absolutely need to take it out, then so be it.  You could get it redone if you wanted to.

I have known women that have had many pregnancies and still have their navel pierced.

The bottom line, as long as you enjoy it while you are young, it's going to be worth it.  And if you take care of yourself, it should not be a burden when you are older!  Good luck!

  4. i got one when i was 16 and i am 29 now.

I think it still looks good, but i am in pretty good shape. if i have kids and it looks jacked up afterwards, i will just take it out, its not a huge scar, just tiny like your ears would be if you took out the piercing.

  5. You might decide to take it out before you turn 30. If you don't and are pregnant then, there are specific bars/rings that are longer and are flexible for pregnant women.

  6. believe it or not, they have pregnancy piercing retainers, which are made of plastic and bend with your expanding stomach. when you get older and have a baby, you could potentially use one of those.

i don't think your piercing should leave any sort of hideous mark or anything. just take care of it and clean it properly if you get one, and if should be fine. if it heals properly then later on in life, you should only have a little hole when you take it out, like you would if you had taken out an ear piercing.

  7. I have mine done. And my aunt got hers done when she was in her early 20's and when she got pregnant and was in labor she took out the jewelry and she doesn't have a scar or anything now. Some people don't even take their jewelry out! But I would get it done. Cause it's worth it.
