  1. Ducks may or may not actually stay on your property, unless you build an enclosure which makes sure they don't leave.

However, you have to make sure the fish aren't small enough to be eaten as they will be on the menu.

  2. I doubt the ducks will stay. I would almost guarantee you that they'd run away or something.

  3. ducks will eat tiny fishes unless your fish is a big as big kois in ponds.

    kOi keeper & goldfish keeper.

  4. well it is probable that the ducks will eat the fish.

choice A:provide fish every so often

choice B: either the ducks or the fish

choice C: try it out if it doesn't work try something else

  5. Unless your pond is BIG, the ducks will turn it into a ducky toilet and that will kill the fish.

If the pond is huge, and the fish are too big to be a snack, then yes you can mix them.

Our local park has a fairly shallow lake, but about 3 acres area. It has lots of ducks and dozens of HUGE goldfish (12-18"). But it has a small stream flowing in/out that keeps the water semi-clean.

  6. like the first person said, i think the ducks will eat the fish. Unless they're very large, but even than they may try to get them.

And the ducks would just fly away unless they have a closed in pen where they can't get away.

  7. Ducks eat fish! Thers no point in adding fish unless you just want them all to be killed.

  8. Here in Charlotte, how can you keep them out? you'd have to put up a sign that says, "NO DUCK ALLOWED" most of  ' em don't read too good tho' .

yes, you could do that and if you contact the fish &game commission in your county they'd supply you with the fish. undomesticated duck will south for the winter.
