If i get another phone and put my sim card in it will it work?

i have tmobile if i get any other brand phone and put my sim card in it will it work

As far as I know, as long as it is an "unlocked" GSM phone or smartphone (even from a different carrier), you are able to put your T-Mobile SIM card in it, and it should work. I bought an "unlocked"  Samsung brand phone a few years ago that read "Cingular" on the actual lid. I put my T-mobile SIM card in it, and it worked without any problems.

You can find unlocked phones on eBay for much lower than retail prices (e.g., if you were to buy a phone from T-Mobile's website without a plan, of course). Also, I am not too sure on this, but I have heard that there are ample unlocking guides online out there, in the event that you don't buy an unlocked phone.

It needs to be an open phone, i.e. the sim lock needs to be removed. You can do that yourself by following online instructions from various sites. You type in the name/model number and get a code.

It all depends on the carrier, not all carrier's are on the same network and not all use a sim.
