  1. I've never tipped a deliveryman. In fact, they never stick around long enough for me a say anything to them other than a thank you.

  2. I have a buddy that's a UPS driver. He says they have to report any gratitude they get (money or gifts). They have to report it to good ole Uncle Sam. Yea not just the UPS drivers but all delivery drivers work there but off to get delivery's out. Its not just a physical job but works on you mentally to.

  3. Those union guys get anywhere from $22 to $27 per hour, not to mention gobs of overtime. Save your $ for more presents, even if they're for yourself.

  4. My UPS driver from about 8-10 years ago told me he was making about 75K (after overtime) a year at the time.  He had a few years in and a good route, but I bet a smiliar driver is making close to 90K these days.

Unless he's doing someting special for you, I don't see any reason he'd need a tip.  If he's making sure to accommodate your needs as much as he's able, something small would be appreciated, but avoid cash.

  5. It would be kinda funny doing it, but it's not a bad idea. They work hard and they do deserve at least a thank you.

  6. Typically they don't get tips. If you feel that you should tip them think about how much you would tip a food delivery person. If they refuse the tips (which they may have to) than don't push it. Some companies don't allow employees to accept tips.
