  1. Depends if you are arrested for crimes other than tresspassing. You will be in jail until you see a judge, that time varies depending on how busy they are.

  2. You can be detained for a day or two, or many months.  It depends on how long it takes to establish your citizenship, get proper verification of your citizenship from your govt, and the next available transportation.  If you cooperate in your deportation by being truthful about your citizenship, etc., you spend less time in jail.

And, of course, it depends on your country's govt in getting us the document they require for you to be readmitted to your country.  Some people are not wanted here because they are lawbreakers, and not wanted by their countries because they were lawbreakers there, too.  They'd rather let you rot in jail a while.

  3. Hopefully...

  4. it varies and lock up does not matter as long as you are on your way home.

  5. Sure, it is possible.  There is no set time for being in holding.  Just prepare yourself to be dealing with Big Bubbas......

  6. I know someone who was stopped by the metro link police in L.A. and when he was unable to provide and ID, he was arrested and subsequently put in Immigration holding.  This happened on June 18th.  He's been in his country for a week! So, it's pretty darned quick if you sign the the deportation papers.  If you fight it, you'll be in jail for a while.
