  1. 9 times out of ten medical companies have a age limit on dependents, example: Mine cigna

says 24 in school kids or in house. Meaning if the dependents are out of the home out of school then no insurance coverage. I doubt that there is many insurance companies that wouldn't kick out dependent coverage if they get married. They love any opportunity to not pay for something

  2. You will be dropped.

  3. Get a job and get your own insurance. If your grown up enough to get married ,your grown up enough to support yourself and your spouse.

  4. It would be dropped unless you were on a plan that allowed all family members including new spouses for children, which I doubt there is anything like this in the entire world.  It would be dropped because you are no longer a dependent of your parents.

  5. check with your health insurance to make sure, but in my experience once you get married, regardless if you are still a full time student under the age of 23, you CANNOT be considered a dependent and be covered under your parent's insurance.  While the company may continue to cover you, because they have no knowledge of your marriage...if there was ever a major claim that came up that would make the insurance company question you.  Remember that marriage licenses are public information and accessible by the insurance company.  You are required to inform the insurance company about any 'major life change' i.e. marriage, death, birth of a child, divorce.

  6. When you become married you are no longer your parents dependent. You are no longer covered by their insurance. If you filed a claim it would be committing fraud. Lawyers, jail, etc... You need your own insurance.

  7. Best thing to do would be call the insurance company. If you are 22 and no longer a student you will be dropped anyway.

  8. I would think that once you get married you will be dropped and believe me they will find out!  why dont you just call and ask some questions you dont have to give them your name.

  9. You would be dropped. You're covered as long as you live at home and are going to school (Or I think if you live at school too, not too sure on that one though).

If you want to get married, then get married. If you're worried about health insurance, then wait until you're done with school. That way you can start your life off with a career and not a job. OR, you can get on your spouse's insurance.
