If i get stationed in Norfolk Virgina NAS...?

i wondering how it will be the feedback i get tell me that they were miserable there

i really hope its not b/c ther is a good chance that i will be headed there as a ABH in the navy "/

Every single sailor I knew hated it in Norfolk.  I thank God I spent all but my last 2 years on the West Coast.

As an ABH you have a GREAT chance of going to an aircraft carrier out of Norfolk.

Norfolk, VA has grown up a lot. Meaning, they have neat little artsy fartsy hang outs, nice restaurants and plenty to do. You have VA Beach as a nice place to hang out as well. The traffic can be a nightmare. Over all the Hampton Roads area is a great place to live. They are really building up the city a lot.

People will tell you it is miserable wherever you are going.

If you really don't want to go, I suggest you PRAY hard to GOD for alternative orders

I dated someone in the Navy in Norfolk Virginia. I hear its nice just a little ghetto and rough in areas. Good luck sailor. Chances are they'll send you down there and than put you on a ship shortly after. It happens often. Good luck, thank you for defending our country.
