  2. I would go with a thousand watt amp for two 15"'s.  Go with a good brand though and make sure it's installed professionally.  My ex had two 15"'s and 1000watt amp, and it sounded beautiful.  Didn't sound like someone was in the trunk with a metal garbage banging it with a stick.
