If i get yahoo messenger on my mobile will i need internet on my phone and is it free except for text charges?

ime thinking of getting y! messenger on my cell if i do will i have to be able to access the internet on my phone and is it free other than text charges

Some phones only opperate messageing with the internet feature.  Some phones do not have to use the internet inorder to send messages.  Also, some of the phones do add extra air time charges for the messages some have special packages for the airtime.  All of that depends on the phone company.  Ask for a broshure, there is so much to remember for all of the charges maybe that would help you.  good luck! :) jen
