When you are at station 5 where the visitor center is, the weather is warm and nice.  Nice in the sense that it is shorts and t-shirts type of weather.  As you start climbing to the top the weather becomes cool and then cold.  At the top of the mountain I was wearing gloves, outer shell jacket with the inside fleece lining, pants and long underwear.  I would say the temps were in the low 40's or even high 38's (5-10c).  It was cold and the warm soup and coffee was very much appreciated. As you climb back down and the sun starts to rise, the temperatures becomes warmer and you start to shed the layers of clothing back down to t-shirts and shorts.
