  3. There certainly are.  

    Down near the Quayside the Baltic centre has a selection of good restaurants.  Probably the best is Riverside Restaurant and Bar.  

    In town there are several good restaurants depending what floats yer boat.  Gershwins on Dean St is good (but pricey),  Cocomos is Italian and is alright too.
