  1. hourly rates are difficult to come by - all below in Australian dollars

in the mines you can earn $100,00 pa just for washing up - they are very remote

    accountancy 14-40 per hour

    banking 14-30 [per hour

    building 18-60 per hour

    secretairal 14-20 per hour

    IT 20-150

    hospitality 11-18

    sales 12-45

    teaching 200-250 per day

    au pair 120-250 per week

    child care 15-19

    engineer 20-25

    harvesting 10-14

    nursing 18-45

armed forces from $40,000pa  when qualified

adult services from $300 per day uo tp $3000 per day

  2. Some of the rates given in the other answer are inaccurate. The mimimum hourly rate for adult workers in Australia is $13.74 for permanent employees and $16.49 for casual employees, so nobody can be paid less than that.

If we knew what type of work you would be doing, we could give you a more accurate answer.

In any case, you must have a visa which allows you to work here. See http://www.immi.gov.au/ for information.

  3. depends what your qualified to do and if you qualify to live in Australia....it isn't easy
