If i got a 2 on my ap calc exam and i sent it to UCLA, will it affect my admission into the school?

i have an average gpa of about 3.87 and i got a 4 on my ap euro test

  1. It shouldn't affect your chances for admission at all. The AP tests are designed to test your knowledge that you've gained from your class and if you pass, exclude you from having to take certain college classes, receiving credit based on your test performance. Since you didn't pass, all it means is you'll have to opt to take the college class instead (rather than waiving it as you would if you'd received credit). And this in itself isn't so bad if you've already taken the class; you should have experience, and therefore an advantage.

    No worries; it'll all work out. Talk to a counselor to explore other options, but it shouldn't affect your admission at all.


  2. No of course not... You are challenging yourself.  It just means that you would get credit for the class you will have to test out of it on placement test to get the college credit.  You still have another chance to get the credits!
