If i got a pos opk what days are the best time to have intercourse?

I got a pos opk the 6 and 7 of Aug. I tested the same time every morning and later that night I intercourse and the next night and again on the 10 of Aug. If i was to become preg what would be the best to take a hpt and would today be way too early?

If you chart when you get them you can prepare a little better.  You want to BD the days leading up to ovulation.  So if you get a positive on day 14, you want to BD on the 12/13/14 days.  Then the sperm would be there on the 15th when you ovulate.

You want to have s*x the 2 days before and 2-3 days after your first positive OPK.  The 10th was probably too late, but the 6th and 7th were right on time.  Since you probably ovulated on the 7th or 8th, I would take the 8th and use your usual luteal phase length to determine when to test.  If you don't know your usual luteal phase length, test 14-18 days after ovulation, so August 22-26 you should get an accurate test if you don't have your period yet.  If you want the earliest possible test date you can use, you could try starting at 9 or 10 days past ovulation using a First Response Early Result, ClearBlue digital or similar high sensitivity test.  That would put you at today (really tomorrow since you will need first morning urine to test with), but understand you very easily could get a false negative doing this.  It's up to you.
