  1. You just have to install a jack in the location you need a phone, then buy a phone.

The other alternative is to get a cordless phone system than allows more than one handset, and just plug in a second charger for the second handset where you need one.

  2. No no, all you need is the correct socket to plug your phone into and you can have as many as you want for the same number.

You just won't be able to use the phones individually... for example, you couldn't be using one phone to speak to a friend at the same time that your partner is on the phone to their boss.

But yes, its free free free.

You only pay if you get a second phone number.

  3. no, its just another connection off the existing line to your house

  4. Not sure about your question? If you like to add another line on your existing account you can do that but those depend on your service provider. I use the service that offer unlimited calling with two phone number and two phone  line($14.95/month) with 40 calling features, including unlimited calling to 9 countries. 5. You can use two points for the same number.I have two for the same number from my phone supplier and only pay for one.All it is,is an extension line. It's only when you have two different suppliers that you pay for two lines and then you would have to have two different numbers.

  6. You pay for the installation of the new point [or do it yourself] you only pay for one line regardless of the number of points, as long as it is the same number.

  7. No, you can have several phones connected to one line without any extra charge.  There is a practical limit, depending upon the type of phones you connect but two or three will be fine.

When you have two or three phones on one line two or three people in your house will be able to join in the conversation with the person on the other end of the line.  But you will not be able to call or receive calls from more than one person at a time.

    I hope this helps.

  8. i am with bt/yahoo broadband, you get a router, which gives you an extra phone number, it is an internet phone, calls are free on internet phone between 1800 hours and 0800 hours,

the internet has only went down once in the whole time I've had the broadband, so don't really nead landline phone, but told to keep it for an emergency.

  9. you don't have to pay for a second line unless you get a seperate phone number.

  10. just get a dual adaptor and a longer phone cord.:0) actually what we now have is a cordless phone system with 2 phones one plugs in the main line and the other just needs a regular wall electrical outlet no phone jack. I love it. you can get 2, 3 4 maybe even 6 phones on the same system. not very expensive this time of year either.

  11. no, but you need to pay for the extra point

  12. if you are brave enough you can install your own point. From the master point open it up and you will find aload of connections. Install a 6 core cable from the main phone point to the new location. Join connection 2 and 5 in both points.

    At the master point

To make it easy- Push the red wire into connection 2

Then push the black wire into connection 5. Do the same at your new phone point.
