got cut off can i get back on it how do i re establish my insurance with them?

  1. You call them, and ask them for an application for coverage.


  2. It would depend upon your fathers employers coverage. Some allow parents of dependents over 18 to be covered for an additional fee. I would start by asking your father to check at work.  

    Of course, it depends why you were cut off...  

    If not, then you will need to pay your own private coverage and that might be expensive. To my knowledge BCBS will accept anyone.

The only thing to do would be to apply for coverage with them.  You will not have the same exact same coverage as before, as your father's insurance was group ins. and you would be applying for individual ins.  You will have to shop their various plans to see which one will work best for you.  They won't take into account your previous coverage with them unless you have a pre-existing condition.

  4. You would have to apply for an individual policy, be accepted and pay the premium.

    If your father still had the same insurance and you met all the guidelines for coverage with them (e.g. full-time student and dependant of your father), then you could be added back on during his employer's open enrollment.
