  1. yes they can as long as the same name is on each of them, they probably won't catch it


  2. Here's a thought.... Why dont you just transfer enough funds into your O/D Acc to bring it back up? so that your "good" account isnt frozen...

  3. The bank will not freeze the good account.  They will automatically transfer any money in the good account over to the overdrawn account until the overdraft is paid.  They can do this legally as long as your name is listed on both accounts as a signer.

  4. "freeze" your good account?...... Sometimes they don't make the connection between the two accounts unless you draw it to their attention.

    It's your account.  You are responsible for the money that is deposited and for the money that goes out.

    How much money do you owe?

  5. If you are a signer on both accounts, then yes they can and probably would use the "good" account to offset the monies owed on the other, its called "right to offset".

    This may not happen though until closer to the charge-off of the delinquent account.  Each bank is autonomous in their practice.
