& supposedly, my partner has Moon Cancer.

Will that help me connect better with him?

The midheaven is an imaginary point in astrology. When looking for synastry (how 2 pple connect), it is best to look at planets aspecting each other. So in short, the answer would be no. Do you have any signs in a water/earth signs -except for Capricorn, as it would make a bad aspect- (Pisces, Scorpio or Cancer/Virgo or Taurus)? Because if it is so, then it would help :) Especially if it is your Moon! It would be a good indication of a long-term relationship, although you would have to check other aspects!

Midheaven is an indication of your career choices, success and your public image. Midheaven in Cancer dislikes change in a work environment (of course, we have to look at the whole chart). It likes routine and the person may 'nurture' in his/her profession. For instance, nurse, architect, etc... and can even succeed in a business related to food (Cancer rules the stomach). Since Cancer rules the 4th house (family/home), you could work in a family business or close to home, perhaps in your home.
