  1. No, CB radios do not have access to police bands.


  2. No you need a police scanner to reach the right frequencies, but if you tune into the truckers, they are usually listening to police scanners and talking to each other about it, so you will get the jist of what is going on.

  3. No.  Police scanners could pick up regular police channels and in some areas still can.  The agencies in my area now just switched to a better system and now the scanner I had at home no longer works.

    You need a police scanner  to get the channels of police and fire etc
