23 or 24 . BUT some programs that put a menu on the dvd have a limit.

you usually get an ERROR report if you put too many on.

The 4.7 GB is only about 4.37 gigabytes as they label them using SI units rather than the "old" system of powers of 2.

4.7 GB on the disc, refers to 4.7 * 1000 * 1000 * 1000 bytes.

Which if you work it out relative to measuring with 1024's you get 4.37GB (check your discs, they all say their max capacity is around 4.3GB per layer/side.

It's not 4.7 * 1024 * 1024 * 1024 bytes as you might expect.

It's the same with hard-drives, they advertise them based on the "1000" and not "1024" which is used in the actual file-systems.

RAM is still labeled on the power of 2 system as it's a waste of address bits to not make it a full power of 2 quantity and it would clumsy to see 2.148 GB of ram instead of 2 GB.

You can write floor(4,700,000,000 / 180 * 1024*1024) = floor (24.9) = 24 episodes.
