i have a flat foot i want to know if i can join the US army because they told me that some military agencies dont accept flat foot..

  1. The first poster is correct. Flat feet are no longer a disqualifying condition. I have pretty flat feet and I got in the Army with no problem. Unless your feet give you trouble when you walk or run, you shouldn't have a problem.


  2. yes they do. Why wouldn't they? They have hundreds of jobs that have nothing to do with combat.

    Personally...I think they are too many non-combat guys in the army.

    If for some odd reason they push you away..go back again. They will eventually take you.

  3. Pes Planus is the medical name for flat feet. If they are not symptomatic (e.g. pain) and there is no history of the use of custom orthotics or prescription footwear to correct it, then it is not disqualifying for entry into the armed forces. The source below is the medical standard.  

  4. I served 12 years and my feet are flatter than the table your computer is sitting on........

  5. The US Army does.  It used to be a disqualifier, but not anymore.  You will just need to get special running shoes and inserts for your boots that accomodate people with flat feet.  The same goes for people with abnormally high arches.
