If i have a cd and want to download a track from it to windows media player?

Go To copy from cd and mark off the songs you want.

Put the CD into your disc drive. Open Media Player click on the tab of Rip Music or Copy from CD choose the track u want by clicking the box on the left (it will have a little tick in it - if you don't want all the songs on your computer un-tick them) then there will be a thing that says copy/rip music click that and your computer does the rest! Get WMP if you dont have it. Insert disc, if the disc was written in a format readable by WMP, click the rip tab, choose your song and rip away.

Ripping files from a CD to your computer doesn't do anything to the file on the CD itself.  It just makes a copy of the file on your computer.
