  1. That is really a company benefit. They don't have to pay you if you don't work.

  2. Do you have sick leave..if not...no

  3. If the company has paid sick leave and you have sick days available, you can use your sick days and get paid.  Otherwise, the most the doctor's note does is prove you weren't faking.

  4. No.   Most companies have a sick time policy.   At some you have to be absent for as many as 3 days before sick pay kicks in.   Some companies dont even offer sick time..

  5. It depends on the policy at the workplace (In the USA anyway)

  6. I also think it depends upon if you are hourly or salaried.

If you are hourly, the answer is a flat NO

if you are on salary, you are getting paid provided you have enough sick days, and a note will not be needed

unless you have been gone for more than three days.

Paid or not, bring the note in.

You dont want to be percieved as a slacker

  7. It amazes me to no end when someone takes a job and doesn't even know what benefits (or lack of) that comes with it. Read your employee handbook. No one here will know any more than you will.

  8. AFLAC!!!!  And no they don't have to but it depends on the company.

  9. no, not unless they offer sickpay
