If i have a nexus pass but my friend doesn't can we still cross the american border?

i going to the U.S with my friend and her family. They all have a nexus pass and were passing a nexus border, if i dont have that pass can we still get through?

You cannot cross the border on their passes.  You will need to show proper identification.  I assume you are driving, so depending on how old you are, you will need your birth certificate and a government issued photo ID such as a driver's license.  If you are a minor, you need your birth certificate and a letter signed by both your parents giving your friend's parents permission to take you across the border.  The letter must include the contact information for your parents, and it would be a good idea if they are available by phone when you are crossing the border in case the officials want to call them.  If your parents are divorced or separated and only one is available to sign the letter you will need a copy of the custody agreement giving custody to one parent.  Border officials on both sides of the border are very careful about minors travelling without their parents.

You can cross the border, but with you in the car they can't use the Nexus lane.

yes you can. But you will not be able to cross though nexus without her nexus card .but you can go thourgh the regular pass thing. as long as she has a passport.
