If i have an idea for a board game, what are the steps i should take to get the best from it ?

I mean. I have the idea. I tested the game. I want to sell the idea. What do i do ?

  1. first, think of the concept. the object, how to win.

    then, think of the spaces, like the shape of the board, and the shape of the spaces.

    now, get specific; think of the effect of each space.

    Lastly, the fun part: think of the pawns/pieces, cards, and the title of the game. have fun!

    Yeah, also what Lizzy said. Make it and try it out with your friends, but dont tell them that you made it. ask if they like it, then you tell them, and if they say they dont like it before you tell them you made it, they'll say "sorry" and "i was just kidding . . .  i love the game."


  2. I agree with Burhos22 but I would add, you should make a prototype and test it on a special game night with friends.
