If i have an unlocked first gen iphone and apple asks me to update the software, will it re-lock the iphone?

When i plug the iphone into the computer itunes asks me if i should update to software 2.0.2. Will it relock the iphone or will i still be able to use it like i have been. (I am with Rogers)
