Snowboarding is harder to pick up than skiing, but easier to progress at.

It can take years to get good at skiing, but only a season to get good at snowboarding.

I love skiing.  Skiing is better.  it is harder and more technical.  I sometimes snowboard, but i only do green trails. I recommend trying snowboarding, it wont hurt to --actually it might. Wear kneepads. Regardless of how much you have skied, when you start snowboarding, you will be a beginner.  You will fall a lot.  But hang in there, it can be fun.  I love skiing too much to switch to snowboarding and i have been skiing for about 6 years and i am an advanced skier.

About the learning curve, it is different for everyone.  It is different than skiing, but since you ski, you already understand how carving and the edges work. It might take a few times to get the hang of it.

  2. Well it is hard to change the habits you have after ten years so give it a try I know once you get used to it, it is a lot of fun.

  3. If you are asking if the skills are transferable, they're not. You may be dismayed to find that you will be starting from scratch. However, you will progress like everyone else, or a bit faster.

  4. try and see how u do
