  1. I am pretty sure they won't let you because when I joined the service they want you as healthy as possible.  They want to no every little bone you have broke any illnesses you have ever had, everything.  I seen people get denied over the dumbest things.  I was told don't even mention little broken fingers or arms and things like that.  But in your case that is major, so you would have to tell them, unfortunately I doubt if you will qualify.  Then again it might not hurt to try.  Just contact you local recruiter and be straight up and tell him, he would know.  Good Luck!!
