  1. No cause all the librarys use the same system so you would be found out. You would be better to pay up now because the debt will increase the longer you leave it.

  2. I don't know where you live but in our county all the libraries are connected by one computer system, even the mobile ones, so you would still be fined in another town.

  3. No it will follow you.  Pay up, it cant be that much

  4. If by "another town library" you mean "another library in the same town" then the answer is probably no.  Branch libraries usually share a system with the central library, and all libraries in a system have access to the same patron database.  You would have to choose a library on another system.  For instance, if you have a debt at the public library system you could probably get "guest borrower" priveleges at a public college or university in the same town, since the college/university library is probably on another system.

If you mean "a library in another town," then you can probably get away with it, unless the two libraries share a system -- which is not uncommon.

I know there is a paranoid notion that all libraries everywhere are connected to one vast library system and have access to each other's patron databases.  Such an arrangement is  impractical, undesirable, and false.

I'll add this caution: even if you can get an account at another library, it's a really bad idea to leave a debt at the first library.  If the debt is small, you should just pay it off for convenience' sake.  And if the debt is large you run a risk that the library might report it to a collection agency and ruin your credit rating for years.

  5. just pay up and then alls good. if you go to the other library...then the'll prob sus u out haha! lol or maybe not :P
