  1. should be - if your engine truly blew up as in exploded in a ball of fire

if it blew up in the sense that the engine died and no longer works, not likely

  2. Lol!  Car insurance covers damage from theft or accident. A warranty covers mechanical failure, so I'd look at that if I were you!

  3. No. Fully Comp only covers you for traffic accidents. Engine blowing up is your negligence.

  4. Mechanical failures and beakdowns are NOT covered in the auto damage insurance policy. Pull out your policy and read it -- it's plainly listed as EXCLUDED.

  5. Very much doubt it but  telephone your insurers if the policy is not clear

  6. Sorry to say, No, Unless you have a policy on the engine only which I doubt any Insurance will give.

  7. nope na na no way sorry  but sure turn it in to your company

  8. Not a hope in h**l. Unless it was as the result of an accident!

  9. You need to take out a warranty , if you are that scared.

But they are 'limited' in the small print and any fault caused by neglect- say low oil/water- would be your problem.

What you need is a car with a very long guarantee

  10. Earth to gsc1ugs.............................No.

  11. Hang on, i will finish laughing in a minute.

Comprehensive insurance does NOT cover you for any type of mechanical failure it covers against loss from theft or accident.

  12. You should be. Check your insurance certificate.

If you're lucky you may be entitled to a courtesy car!

  13. No, it is not covered unless the engine 'blew up' as a result of a covered peril or collision loss.  If your vehicle is relatively new, you might want to contact a dealer to see if it is covered under your warranty.

  14. why don't you call up the company and ask them? they wont laugh at you like these other people, just keep in mind that you will have to pay your deductible

  15. No it will not
