If i have had two children before and with one of the pregnancies i had gestational diabeties...?

but i didnt with the other one...could i have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome? I just looked it up and now im freaking out because i have some of the signs of having it. My last daughter was born in September of 2006 after i had her i bled for almost 3 months..then my period came monthly...up until June 2008 now its August and i havent had a period since June... Im going to the doctor soon but i just wanted to see if anyone else has had to deal with this type of thing. ?

PCOS is tough to diagnose.  Many Drs miss it at first, especially if they are not looking for it.  Most often a simple abdominal ultrasound is enough for a diagnosis.

If you are concerned about PCOS, make sure that your Dr knows your concerns and be an advocate for yourself.  Make sure that you are having the tests that you need.
