  1. CHECK IMMIGRATION

    AB

  2. We will keep the baby and send you back from whence you came!

  3. you will go to a hospital and have the baby. you will have to pay a lot of money to have it here. and the kid will be considered Canadian and you could have problems getting it back into your home country

  4. if you don't know; do have your baby there

  5. Your baby will be Canadian. And do not listen to all these people...cuz if you have your baby here it's true...our health system will not cover the costs of the baby being born...they will bill you, but if you are going to be returning to your home country...they really can't make you pay the bill anyways right?? hahaha! But your baby WILL have citizenship and will always be allowed to return to Canada at anytime like the rest of us with Citizenship. There might be some help as well for you to get immigration this ways. Biggest thing about Canada is getting in...once you are in..it's not too hard to stay....especially with a child born here. Good Luck!

PS-- Even if you don't have health insurance to cover the birth of your baby...unlike the USA our hospitals will not turn you away!!!!! I love this Country!

  6. Dual if you are there long enough

  7. Ok category selection was a poor choice but your question deserves an answer none the less.

As a proud Canadian I welcome you and your family to our country. If you are lucky enough to have your baby here you will be treated with respect and the top medical care we can provide. It is not a free medical procedure for those from out of the country however so be prepared to pay. BUT you will NOT be turned away and you will NOT have to deal with the bill until after you safely deliver your baby.

You will need to talk to immigration since your baby would be considered a Canadian citizen. You can easily get dual citizenship (ok maybe not easily but easier since you are not a Canadian citizen) when you return to your own country.

Enjoy your visit and if you go into labour know that you will be cared for.

  8. Firstly, you need to have some kind of status in order to get an OHIP card - that pays for your medical bills. Otherwise, a hospital stay and having the baby can cost you thousands. So be honest and get that in order. Canada welcomes all kinds of new immigrants, unlike the USA. As long as you are honest and do what they say, you will most likely stay.

Child born here will be Canadian, and you will have legal claim to stay. Unless you avoid the proper processes - then they might send everyone back.

It's worth it to do it properly. Find an immigrant advocate agency first, who can speak in your language, and have them represent you.

    Good luck and congrats!

  9. you can dine out while you are there

  10. i am asuming that you are an american citizen.  you would have to check it out cause your baby would be a us citizen as well.  If you were there long enough your baby may have dual citizenship

  11. your baby could be considered a citizen if you requested it from the government. Other than that nothing.

    Congrats on the baby

  12. your baby will be a canadian citizen, thats it

  13. are you looking for places to dine out in canada??

  14. Canada used to be very open to pregnant women until some people started borrowing a friend's health care card. Some women got caught "delivering babies" 3 or 4 times a year.  Anyway I'd say call the Canadian Embassy and ask them what you want to know.
