Getting the chicken pox after age 13 is extremely dangerous!  The older you get the sicker it makes you and if you are an adult and get them, you could seriously die.  MANY adults have died from getting chicken pox!  If you haven't had them, you can get a blood test to check for natural immunity.  If the test shows that you do not have natural immunity, you can get the vaccine and you will be safe then.

no, shingles come from the same virus that causes chicken pox. So if you haven't had chicken pox, then you won't get shingles. You will be fine. It just means that your immune system is in top shape.

Yes It can be dangerous to get them when you are older.

I had mine when I was almost 18, I turned out fine.. Its harder definitely emotionally when you are an adult and the scars make you feel like a beast, but they fade eventually. But definitely take the other advise here & good thing you are thinking about these things before they (if they) happen.

i havnt had chicken pox either but maybe youre a carrier like me? if not you might get shingles which are much more painful .

Ya,it's really dangerous if U be an adult male.  It can cost you yer fertility.  Yer testicles can swell to the size of tennis balls and burst.  There is now a vaccine I strongly reccommend it if U didn't have the chicken pox as a kid and have kids aro

It'll seem worse and you could get Shingles.

Those are a more painful form of Chicken Pox.

But I think if you get the vaccine against it, you'll be fine.

You won't become more ill. You'll just have the scars to remember them by. Unlike for children when the scars fade with growth.
