  1. It may entitle you to bring your concerns to the contractor's attention, and to try to negotiate a discount, but a refund? I cannot imagine ANY circumstance in which that would be appropriate, unless everything is back just as it was before the work was started...


  2. Your best bet is to check him out with the better business bureau first before you hire him. See if he has any complaints against him. Ask for a reference go check out the reference. If he is in construction see what he constructed.

    Make very sure he is licensed & insured, if not pass him up.

  3. no but you can put a lein on him which means until he fixes your place to the standards that the two of you agreed on, he cant start another job. So all you have to do is go to the courthouse
