If i hire an illegal immigrant to work in my company, how should I treat him?

Should i pay him less? under the table? Deny him vacation and sick time? Whats the standard for hiring such help?

  1. treat him like a normal person but illegal immigrants work really hard to get here just ask him how he got here and pay him the same but under The table and don't listen to that morginna III shes a B i t ch

With respect.  Yes, he is illegal.  But I have worked and hired many.  Play dumb to the cards.  Yo udon't know what a real card looks like do you?  He is probably just a good person, looking to support his family.  You will get caught eventually but you can plead dumb.  I believe they deserve every chance to work in this country, unless there is a documented worker going for the same job.  Then you have to go that way.  But from my experience, the illegals I have known, are the best workers I have because they know what they have to lose.

  4. Obviously, itis the reality that many smallbusinesses could not survive without illegals.  If at all possible, put him on the books.  If not, workers' comp, min. wage laws and overtime laws still apply.

  9. if you are suspected of hiring illegal immigrants the United States government will investigate every aspect of your business, all your books, and can seize your business and all assets if you are found guilty.  there are fines and other punishments for hiring illegal immigrants.  do you want to break the law?  if you do, just be ready to pay the consequences.  it's a pretty big risk just to save a few bucks on a worker.

    oh, and your internet history would be in the stuff they'd be searching for proof that you were knowingly making these hires.

  11. You treat him like a human being. Being a illegal immigrant, most important is making money not vacation, So let him work the time but pay him for it. Of course, you taking a risk here, less pay for the risk you take. The standard is both side must agree to the term but not forced.

    Ask for green card, accept green card even though it is fake. You can't tell real from fake when asked by the law.

You should have thought of that before you hired him.  I feel it is now your responsibility to give him every benefit and the same pay that you give legal citizens of the US.  He's no less human.  Have you thought about what you will do if someone turns you in for hiring him?  Maybe you should.

  16. You do understand that the crackdown on this is increasing. You could get 5 years and a $200,000 fine if you are caught. Is it really worth it to save a couple bucks per hour in wages?

  19. most likely you'll have to pay him under the table at whatever rate you please. Id say, if hes a good worker pay him what his effort is worth.  And if your a nice person you can still grant him vaca-time.
