If i join the army reserve as an infantryman is it 9 weeks for basic training?

do i get to bring home an of the weapons i'm issued like a knife or pistol?any other weapons

The all around answer to this one is NO.  This is not Switzerland, you are not allowed to bring any weapons home to show off to the buddies.  Oh and by the way there are no Infantry units in the Army Reserve.  They are all in the National Guard.  And Infantry Basic is 14 weeks of One Station Unit Training (OSUT).  Good luck to you.
