  1. If your scared you will be injured don't join

as the army is all about bravery,Sacrifice and commitment

    Isn't it ???

  2. Considering the crime rate in Chicago or Detroit it far safer in Iraq than it is in Chicago.

  3. What is your intended MOS? Will be you heading to a high-speed unit? These things can increase the chances that you will be sent into combat and thus the likelihood that you will be injured.

And the comment about being more likely to die in the city...are you kidding me? Are you telling me I am in the same amount of danger here in a city as I would be if I were facing mortar attacks and IED's in Iraq? That's just ridiculous.

  4. fate doesn't control when theres a sniper training and waiting for the perfect shot to make the kill

  5. About the same as you going about your normal day. Life has no guarntees and well sometimes c**p happens..

It all depends on the training and leadership skills that you have while in combat. If you have veterans with you chances are less than being with a green one. All I can say is take everything they teach you and keep your eyes open and be cautious of your surroundings.

FYI 3 times as many people have been killed in Miami in the last six years than in our wars.

Luck has something to do with it to.

  6. My son was medivaced back the UK within four days of being posted to Afganistan

  7. That kid, depends totally on Who is in the White House.

  8. If you get sent to the middle east you will have to worry about staying healthy in 120 degree F temperatures. If you survive that, you have to worry about getting shot at or bombed. I hope you didn't let a recruiter convince you to join the military. Get out while you can.

  9. If you're not ready and willing to die for your country then you shouldn't be in the armed forces.

  10. There aren't any chances to speak of. Who knows? I'd say slim to none. The percentage really isn't that high. Try not to allow this type of thing to clowd your mind.

  11. You're joining the Military so there's obviously a chance of fighting. If you are in combat you will be shooting at and being shot at by live weapon's so there's obviously a chance of being hurt or killed. It's very normal to worry about this as not many people want to die but death's in battle are becoming less and less common and we also have the finest Doctor's,Nurse's and Medic's available on hand to help us if something does happen.

  12. Depends on your MOS. You'd be more likely to get hurt in a bar fight at the EM club.
