If i jumped out of my bedroom window what would happen?

It is on the first floor (up one flight of stairs) could i die?

People are over-reacting, haha stupid people. I've seen this done loads of times, with no injury, especially when landing on a flat surface with the correct landing, it's perfectly safe. If you don't know how to land, don't do it. Of course anything can be dangerous, but chances are you have more chance of dying from a heart attack than the impact to the ground.
